BLACK RHINO VENTURES

Thank you to Jason, Tim and "Dad" for choosing Black Rhino Ventures for your last day of snowmobiling for the season. July 3rd found us in Cooke City where we enjoyed 85 degrees and sun. While the snow could have been a little better, who can complain about sledding in July? Thanks to you all and we are already working on the plans for your trip next winter.

Thank you to the Ron and Nancy B. for their wonderful visit. Our guests enjoyed sun, a few clouds and even a patch of snow to play in on their day aboard their trusty "steed". After an excellent ride in the mountains, we finished off the day with a fully catered lunch, topped off by an excellent bottle of Pinot Gris.

We thank our friends from Illinois for their visit. This family spent the day touring the Bridger Range via their own ATV's and when they were ready, we awaited their arrival for a fully catered lunch in the backcountry. Gourmet food, stunning mountain vistas, family fun and exceptional service made for a memorable day.

I recently took a trip to Montana with Black Rhino Ventures and I have to say that it was one of the all-time best vacations I've ever experienced. The folks at Black Rhino, particularly President and Founder, Matthew Barbour went above and beyond in every regard to ensure an unforgettable, truly adventurous experience. From the minute I arrived, nothing was left to chance. I was promptly greeted at the airport and received a Welcome Packet detailing my Black Rhino experience. It contained all the details you'd hope to have on a trip and it immediately assured me that I didn't have to think about a thing. Precisely the point of a vacation! The next 3.5 days were meticulously planned and flawless. Snowmobiling in the amazing MT backcountry, skiing at Big Sky (complete with valet-ski service to and from the chairlifts!!!) door-to-door transportation, gourmet OVER-THE-TOP meals prepared by our own executive chef (thanks Don!) on-site at our AMAZINGLY HUGE mountain home on a private ranch overlooking the MT mountains made for a truly unforgettable experience. The Black Rhino team never ceased to surprise and amaze me during my stay. They pull out all the stops with such things as tokens of appreciation left bed-side each night, top-shelf cocktails served at a nightly relaxing happy hour, legendary wines served with dinner each night and even a surprise birthday cake for myself and another guest (taken from information obtained during our booking process). "I will start by saying that I am not a big review person, but I have to share my experience. Words cannot begin to describe the experience myself and 3 of my friends had with Black Rhino Ventures. I knew by the communications leading up to the trip that we were in for the weekend of our lives, but nothing could have prepared me for how over the top the “experience” was.

I use the word experience because anyone can take you snowmobiling, skiing, provide food and accommodations, and shuttle you around, but no one can provide the level of service, attention to detail and experience level Black Rhino did. From the unbelievable private chef, professional bartender and luxury accommodations, to the experienced guides, high-end gear and mind blowing locations that took us right to the edge, I can say from experience that very few outfitters or travel companies in the world provide this kind of experience.

I won’t expand on the whole trip, but I will share one portion of our trip. On one particular day we went snowmobiling which included lunch. It was not just a trail ride in the mountains; it was hard core full on pushing it to the limits. We even had to wear avalanche beacons just in case. [Which came with a full explanation and instructions from the certified mountain rescue Black Rhino team]. After really working us in the deep powder, we expected to stop for a prepared bagged lunch. When we came around the corner where we were to meet Matt, he had dug out a 20’x20’ area, set up a shelter with coffee brewing over an open fire and had a grill with hot gourmet chicken quesadillas and home-made tortilla soup. It was over the top and amazing on all levels. It is clear that Matt and his team are the best at what they do. You have confidence in what you are getting with Black Rhino before your trip ever begins, but it is the special touches and things you aren’t expecting that make it a truly unique experience." - Dave B.

From the moment I stepped into baggage claim at Bozeman the royal treatment began. Matt and the team managed every detail. Our two story mountain lodge was Five Star with phenomenal views and an interior straight out of a design periodical. Our Chef, Don, knew what the perfect fuel was and prepared a daily menu to ensure we were well nourished for long days snowmobiling and skiing. How does Elk stroganoff with a BIG Cab sound? Our snowmobile guides, especially Jason, were knowledgeable, great teachers and incredibly patient.
